Named after Popeye the sailor man, this Popeye has super-dog strength, too. Meet POPEYE. Popeye is a handsome young lab mix. A couple of years ago, his mama dog was hit by a car in Columbus. He and his litter mates were rescued by two organizations here in Toledo. Here, these puppies thrived and were eventually adopted out. However, Popeye made his way back into our rescue through no fault of his own. Popeye is a strong dog who may be fearful at first. Therefore, he will need a patient home. Popeye will need someone who will go at his speed, but push him a little to enjoy life. He is a sweetheart who will get along with the immediate family and other dogs.
